Mike Cuming

Mike 26, got into cycling as his dad was a ex professional and had a bike shop. And Mark Lovatt worked in the shop so cycling was all around.

Mike joined team Raleigh when he was 18 raced in the UK for a year; joined Twenty3c Orbea another English team the year after but spent a lot of the season in France staying with Tony Mills and racing as a amateur over there which he loved.

The following year he joined Rapha Condor – Sharp. With them he won the National U23 road championships, he was a stage winner in the Tour of Korea, overall GC in the Tour of Korea, Stage win of Mzansi Tour, and podium’d in Premiere calendars.

Last year he left the UK for a change of scene and spent the year in Australia he managed a stage win in the New Zealand cycle classic and 7th overall in the “Tour of kumano” in Japan.

This year Mike is really looking forward to being back involved in the British cycling scene and getting some great results with the team.

Fact: I love travelling around, in fact I met my girlfriend (now fiancé) in Australia whilst racing down under.

Liverpool FC supporter.

My favourite race is the Ras (maybe because my old manager john would always get a round of Guinness in!)
