Proud day for the team at the British National Road Champs
Written by Velo Staff on 27th June 2016
The British National Road Championships in Stockton On Tees was successful for the team. The guys rode strongly together and Elliott Porter put in an awesome performance. Elliott raced smart to put himself in the big main strong mans group of the day. He was in top company for the entire race and after some fast aggressive attacks from some of the main protagonists found himself in the select chase group trying to hunt down the likes of Blythe, Cavendish and Team Sky. Elliott kept a cool head and raced his heart out to cross the line in 24th.
Not only was it a great day individually for Elliott himself; but it was a proud day for the team. Velo was the only non UCI team left in the race by the time the race hit the finishing laps. The team has already come a long way since the beginning of the season. We may be a smaller development team but we sure represent and get in the mix as much as possible. VELO LOVE!
The teams next races are Otley GP and the Stafford crit and Kermesse.
